Lia Menaker.

Originally from New Jersey, Lia Menaker  is a singer songwriter, with a musical style that blends folk, blues, and alternative piano rock. She is currently living in Fort Collins, CO, and released her debut album "Animal Behavior" on January 6, 2015 to rave reviews. Lia has sung with various bands throughout NYC, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, including The Mighty Manatees, Jason Crosby, and Broken Darling. She was the female lead singer of Broken Darling for two years, helping to create their 2013 self-titled EP, which includes a song she wrote: "Bones". The album was reviewed by critic Rich Quinlan as "...a radio-friendly, instantaneously catchy effort overflowing with beautiful vocalsparticularly Lia Menaker. Menaker is an undiscovered star-a performer with a soulful, haunting voice that shines either exclusively on 'Bones' (a track she wrote as well) or with Mark Bodino on “Willow Tree” and “Grains of Sand”." Lia's music has been mostly influenced by Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor, and Charlotte Martin.
