With a voice described by critics as "soulful, haunting," "soothing and accessible", Lia Menaker has emerged onto the singer-songwriter scene as a soulful storyteller, infusing edgy poetry and a theatrical flair into a musical blend of pop, rock, and blue-eyed soul.  Think Amy Winehouse meets Fiona Apple in an old cabaret club.

Lia was co-lead vocalist of folk/rock band Broken Darling from 2011-2013. After the release of their EP, a reviewer from the Jersey Beat called her "an undiscovered star." In 2015, after singing back-up vocals for multiple bands, she branched out as a solo artist with debut album Animal Behavior. The release channeled her Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos roots and was described as "like sitting at home with a nice bottle of wine next to the fire." After implementing notes of electronic and soul into her sound, she then embarked on a 2-month east to west coast solo tour (Fall 2017).

This February, Menaker will showcase her new sound with single "Push Pull" - her first release in nearly 3 years. She then heads out in March to tour the midwest with folk/americana artist Jackson Howard.
